About Karey Boerst, RD, CNSC
Karey is a passionate Registered Dietitian dedicated to fostering healthy, balanced relationships with food through a non-diet, Health at Every Size (HAES) approach. With a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and specialized credentials as a Nutrition Support Clinician and Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor, she blends evidence-based nutrition with genuine compassion.
Having navigated her own journey through digestive challenges and restrictive dieting, Karey firmly believes that weight is not a focus or goal in her practice. She embraces an "all foods fit" philosophy while recognizing when therapeutic interventions are necessary for specific health concerns. She centers her practice on Intuitive Eating principles, helping clients recognize hunger cues, satisfaction, and emotional connections to food while setting small, achievable goals during each session. She guides clients in developing body awareness and self-trust rather than focusing on external rules or weight outcomes.
Karey especially enjoys working with individuals struggling with emotional eating and those caught in the frustrating cycle of dieting who are looking for a sustainable, compassionate alternative. With extensive experience across outpatient care, inpatient settings, dialysis nutrition, and chronic condition management, Karey partners with clients to make gentle, sustainable changes. Rather than focusing on restriction, she emphasizes adding nourishing options while maintaining a positive, balanced relationship with all foods—making her a trusted guide on your path to genuine, lasting wellness through a weight-inclusive approach.
Outside of work, you'll often find her volunteering at the local animal shelter, walking her dog, diving into a good book, or exploring the best coffee spots in her city.
